Staying at Tindinyo Retreat was a seamless experience from start to finish. As someone traveling from the UK, I was initially worried about the paperwork, but James provided a formal invitation letter that made my Visa application very straightforward. Once we arrived at Eldoret Airport, the 50-minute transfer to the villa was well-coordinated. The home itself is a peaceful sanctuary surrounded by stunning tea plantations and the Nandi Hills. It really felt like a bridge between two worlds.

If you want to see the real Kenya beyond the typical tourist tracks, this is the place. We loved being able to walk to Yala Falls in under 30 minutes and seeing the rainforest just a short drive away. The partnership with Adventure Africa Expedition was excellent; they organized a professional safari for us to Lake Nakuru and delivered us right back to the villa to rest. The security on the compound, with the fencing and cameras, made us feel completely safe throughout our stay.

Our family of four had a wonderful time at the villa. The traditional Kenyan meals prepared for us were a highlight—authentic and delicious. Even though we were in a beautiful rural setting, we had all the modern comforts we needed, including a big screen TV for the kids and very reliable high-speed Wifi that stayed on thanks to the solar power. It was the perfect base for exploring the Great Rift Valley while having a comfortable home to return to each evening
