Located less than five minutes’ drive from Tindinyo Catholic Mission Church along the Chavakali–Eldoret Road near Kapsabet, our retreat is set within an evergreen rural environment. The surrounding Nandi Hills and Kaimosi tea plantations, nearby equatorial rainforest, and River Yala and its waterfalls create a naturally cool and refreshing climate, averaging between 22°C and 28°C throughout the year.

This tranquil setting offers privacy, fresh air, and scenic beauty, making it ideal for guests looking to unwind while remaining well connected to Kenya’s lakes, national parks, and coastal destinations.

Tindinyo Retreat is more than accommodation — it is an experience. Set on spacious grounds with a beautifully maintained garden, the villa is ideal for couples, friends, or families of up to four guests who value comfort, nature, and cultural discovery.

Guests may choose to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings or use the villa as a base to explore Kenya’s diverse landscapes, wildlife, music, dance, and cuisine — from tea estate walks and rainforest visits to iconic national parks and Indian Ocean beaches.

Our Partnerships

We work in partnership with a well-established Kenyan tour and mountain-hiking company that specializes in safaris and adventure travel across Kenya. Through this collaboration, guests can enjoy professionally arranged transport, guided excursions, and tailored travel experiences, returning afterward to the calm comfort of Tindinyo Retreat.

All sightseeing activities are optional and arranged at the guest’s request, allowing complete flexibility and a truly personalized journey.

Tindinyo Retreat and Holiday Villa is owned by a Kenyan with dual citizenship who grew up in this region and now lives in the United Kingdom. Over the past decades, a strong desire emerged to showcase a side of Kenya that is often overlooked — rural, productive, welcoming, and rich in everyday beauty.
